On Saturday October 6th, World Day for Farmed Animals (on October 2nd every year) will be commemorated with a rally and march in Brighton. Help raise awareness of the cruelty in farming, and promote a veggie/vegan diet for the sake of the animals, the environment and health!
Meet from 13:00h at The Level, near the vegan cafe 'The Loving Hut' for speeches and food, then come on the march at 14:30h.
We will march through the heart of the city, past many meat-eating restaurants etc, and along the seafront. We will finish after a couple of hours in Victoria Gardens, not far from the Palace pier, and Pavilion.
The social event is now a benefit for Help the Street Animals of Morocco (HSAM), a Brighton based voluntary group that neuter and treat street animals in Morocco.
There will be a choice of vegan fish or battered sausage and chips with mushy peas or baked beans. There will also be a cheap bar, pub style quiz (prizes to be won!) and music.
Tickets are £10 for your chippy meal and quiz entry. To purchase tickets or for further information please email info@hsam.org.uk or call 01273 241802. There will be limited spaces on the door so please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Please show your support and come to this great night of vegan delights!
If you are unable to make this event, there is a veggie pub nearby with excellent vegan options, ‘The Prince George’ in Trafalgar St., or many veggie/vegan restaurants in Brighton
Please come to show the public there is a more compassionate way to live, and have a great day out in this exciting city, known as 'The Vegan Capital'!
