Animal Equality’s investigation
exposes violent abuse and
suffering on a british dairy farm
From October 23rd to December 16th, Animal Equality investigators documented shocking scenes of cruelty
to cows and calves on a family-run British dairy farm which supplies milk to dairy-giant Muller.
The footage they obtained appears to show breaches of the Animal Welfare Act as well as the prolonged suffering of cows used for milk, including:
Cows being repeatedly kicked and punched, some just hours after giving birth.
Tiny calves punched, kicked and thrown against walls.
Cows forced to wear chain hobbles for months on end.
Cows suffering from crippling lameness.
Dead male calves, shot and left in full view of pregnant and nursing cows.
Cows with multiple open sores on their legs.
The dairy industry repeatedly impregnates
cows and then takes away their babies so
that we can drink the cows’ breast milk.
Breaking this strong maternal bond causes
enormous emotional trauma.
The physical strain of constant high milk production causes
severe welfare problems such as lameness, pelvic damage and
mastitis (infected teats). Male calves, who will never produce
milk, are routinely shot.
Please help stop this cruelty by signing the pledge.
