Number of Vegans in the U.S.A. doubles since 2009

United States

In a recent national poll comissioned by the Vegetarian Resource Group, the results show that about one third of Americans eat vegetarian food a significant amount of the time. Not only that, but about 7.5 million people in the United States are vegan!

That is more than double the number of vegans in the U.S.A. since 2009. Also, according to industry reports, per capita meat consumption in the U.S.A. has been steadily declining for the last 6 years.

Veganism is growing in popularity and this means fewer animals ending up on dinner plates!

Choose Veganism - Animals are sentient beings like us. They are able to feel emotions and sensations such as pain, pleasure, fear or stress and like us they are individuals with their own needs, desires and an interest in living. Most people believe that animals should not be harmed unnecessarily, but the consumption of animal products forces animals into a life of misery and an untimely death on farms, in laboratories and in slaughterhouses.

By becoming vegan and not taking part in their exploitation we can personally prevent thousands of animals from being harmed and killed on our behalf.
