Animal Equality activists have managed to secretly film the massacre of the bull named 'Moscatel' who was chased, speared and killed by a crowd of 300 people in a local 'festival' in northern Spain on 15 September.
The bull was stabbed to death by a mob armed with spears on foot and horseback after a chase of 30 minutes in the town of Tordesillas, Spain in the long-running controversial event known as the 'Toro de la Vega'.
Using hidden cameras, various activists from Animal Equality infiltrated and recorded this event, with the aim of making animal suffering public and inviting reflection in Spanish society.
Spanish national television and press have widely reported this story, including interviewing Javier Moreno, activism coordinator of Igualdad Animal, Animal Equality's Spanish branch.
